Press ? on any page to see every shortcut, or open the list from Keyboard shortcuts in your account menu or View shortcuts in Settings → Help & support. Many buttons also show their key when you hover over them. Single-key shortcuts don’t work while you’re typing in a field.

Anywhere in Harness

These keys work on every page, so you can add an event, charge, expense, or mileage trip without leaving what you’re doing.

On the calendar

These keys change the calendar’s view and move you through it. Where a key reads Cmd/Ctrl, use Cmd on a Mac and Ctrl on Windows. Bars are the annotation and scheduling link times down the edge of a day. The calendar keeps your hour-row height for the next time you open it in this browser.

In lessons

Once a lesson is open on the Lessons page, these keys step to the next or previous one. They work the same in the lesson sheet on a student’s Lessons tab.

In lists

On a list, / jumps to the search box so you can start typing a name. It works on Students, Contacts, Transactions, Invoices, Accounts, and Reports, but not on a phone, where the search box is hidden.

In dialogs

Most dialogs save from the keyboard, so you can add an entry without reaching for the mouse. With Add more on, Cmd/Ctrl+Enter saves and keeps the dialog open, cleared for the next one.

What your families see

In the student portal, families can step through their past lessons with j and k once one is open. They get none of the other shortcuts.

A weekly time is the same bar every week, so removing it clears it from all of them. The annotation or scheduling link itself stays, so you can open it and add the time back.
On the calendar, m is Month view. Log mileage is Shift+M, on every page.
On the calendar, Cmd/Ctrl++ and − make the hour rows taller or shorter instead. Your browser’s zoom works as usual everywhere else.
